Kinesiological tape is used to relieve muscle pain, to accelerate the healing process. Kinesiological tape improves natural blood and lymph circulation in the muscles. Kinesiotope is used to prevent sports injuries, to reduce pain without disturbing circulation and without disturbances of movement. Kinesiological tape was developed based on human muscle and skin properties.
Kinesiological tape can be applied to any human body or muscle. Kinesiotope is a rehabilitation procedure performed using kinesiotapes (adhesive elastic bands). Kenzo Kase, a pioneer in the method of kinetic edging, Japanese physiotherapist Dr. Kenzo Kase, developed the theory in the 1970's and named it "Kinesio-Taping". This method is based on the science of kinesiology (this is the science of motion) and is therefore called "kineziotope". The main objective of the method is to accelerate the healing processes of the body using special materials and application of this application technique. The method is based on the elastic properties of human muscles and skin. The stick adapts to the human body and holds it. Kinesiology was introduced to the world in 1988. during the Olympics in Seoul, when the Japanese network team used kinesiological tapping elastic patches. Kinesiology in 2004 arrived in England and spread throughout Europe, America and Asia. Since then, it has been widely used not only in sports, but also for therapeutic purposes. Not only famous Lithuanian sportsmen, but also Lithuanian sportsmen, benefit from the treatment. It is an effective and effective treatment method that provides treatment 24 hours a day. Kinesiotope works through the sensory system, activates self-healing mechanisms. The purpose of the treatment is not to restrict movements, but to allow physiological movement in the joints and muscles, thereby activating control and healing. Kinesiotope uses a holistic approach (viewed in the human being as a whole) in the human body with its beggar, e.g., the name: "Fascia", "Feminine", "Meridians", etc.
Kinesiological tapes are used in sports medicine and rehabilitation. The main objective of Kinesiological Taping is to support the body’s own performance and healing processes by a specific material respectively by the appropriate application technique. After long-term experience of the medical staff, the Taping promotes the natural self-healing capabilities of the body and supports or optimizes the joint function, inter alia.
The medical staff also reports that the Kinesiological Taping can contribute to an improvement of the proprioception and the muscular activation by enhanced neuronal networking. Thus it represents a possible base for the prophylaxis of injuries and improvement of performance in sports as well as for a faster healing after injuries or surgery.
